Davie County is home to numerous parks with a variety of amenities sure to appeal to all ages. Grab your family or a friend and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Davie County Community Park
Davie County Community Park has something for everyone: Walking trails, a story walk trail with different children’s books throughout the year, inclusive playground, stadium featuring a turf field lined for regulation football and soccer with a track around the outside, Elevate fitness course, ADA approved horseshoe/bocce ball courtyard, dog parks for both small and large dogs, an amphitheater for concerts and events, and shelters that are available for rent.
The “meadow” is perfect for playing catch, a family picnic, flying kites, or simply relaxing and communing with nature. When you are ready to cool off, the park offers the largest splash pad water park in North Carolina.
A baseball/softball field will open this fall. In addition to the outdoor facilities, there are indoor facilities that include gyms, meeting rooms, restrooms, a conference room, and the Davie County Recreation and Parks (DCRP) administrative offices. DCRP hosts numerous programs open to the public which can be found on Facebook @DCRPTEAM.

Farmington Community Center & Nature Park
Nature lovers will flock to the Farmington Nature Park’s 60 acres of natural landscape ideal for hiking, biking, and birdwatching. The park is comprised of four different habitats – open fields, wetlands, woodlands, and creekside – which are home to a wide variety of plants and wildlife.
The park’s woodlands house a professionally designed 20 hole disc golf course which is free and open to the public. The course offers a mix of par 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s, with holes ranging from 170′ to more than 700′. The course’s wooded terrain provides challenging greens that will test your layup accuracy and putting potential.
The Farmington Community Center offers community programs and special events and is available for rent. The center also features a playground, walking track, tennis court, and ballfield.

Main Street Park
Main Street Park in downtown Mocksville features a shelter, picnic tables, a sitting area, restrooms, a lovely pollinator garden, and a fountain. Bring your lunch and dine al fresco or simply relax with family and friends.
Make sure to visit the park for fun family activities like free outdoor movies, games, and children’s activities. A schedule can be found at mocksvillenc.org.

Rich Park
Rich Park is 67-acres of outdoor fun in the middle of Mocksville. Children will enjoy the playgrounds (both inclusive and traditional) while their parents relax in the shade. Everyone can enjoy a stroll or bike ride along the three to four miles of tree-lined paved trails encircling the park.
Rich Park is also the perfect place for bocce ball, horseshoes, picnics, photography, and birdwatching, or more strenuous activities like baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball.
During the summer you can catch a baseball game at Mando Field. The park offers convenient parking, picnic shelters, bathroom facilities, and doggie waste stations.

RiverPark at Cooleemee Falls (The Bullhole)
River Park at Cooleemee Falls is widely known to Davie County residents as “The Bullhole.” The park features an impressive stone dam, a sandy beach, and good fishing in the spring and fall.
Bring your bathing suits to swim and “ride” the little rapids or enjoy a relaxing float down the river in an inner tube. There are picnic tables and benches scattered along the beautiful wooded trails plus a picnic shelter available for rent. Restrooms are located near the main parking area.

The Park at Lake Louise
Designed with both adults and children in mind, The Park at Lake Louise features a deluxe playground with equipment designed for children 2-5 as well as equipment for ages 5-12, fitness stations for adults to use while they watch their children play, and concrete walking and biking trails that connect to Colin Creek Golf Club’s cart paths and loop down to the lake and back. “The Great Meadow” is perfect for playing ball or frisbee or relaxing in the sun.
Phase II, which could begin as early as this summer, will include an Eno hammock lounge area, the renovation of the old swimming pool bathrooms located near the playground, a large picnic shelter next to the parking lot, the completion of the fitness trail loop, and learning stations about forest and meadow ecosystems.
