April Letter from the Chairman

Greetings and welcome to the 2nd quarter! We had a very successful annual meeting last month. Thanks to everyone that helped make it happen. Together we make things happen. We still have lots going on in the county and a full calendar continues. As a chamber, we have over 500 members, our largest membership ever! I would like to commend our chamber office; we are doing things right and people are seeing value in being a member here!

However, we are always working to improve, change and develop new ways to add growth and provide benefit to you. You will see in the near future more ribbon cuttings and business after hours, most recently at Maddie Cakes, our small business of the year! If you have an idea or a facility that may be open to hosting a BAH, please call the office. Living in Davie County for the majority of my life has taught me that “how” you connect makes all the difference. Let’s keep growing together.

Make the choice to improve. Pick an area, one thing… and improve it. Make each day a “growth” in the right direction- it will only make your tomorrows better! Growth without change is impossible.

“Nothing worthwhile comes easily. Half effort does not produce half results, it produces no results. Work, continuous work, and hard work is the only way to accomplish results that last.” Hamilton Holt

Keep rising!
