July Letter from the Chair

Can you believe that we are halfway into the year? As the temperature heats up for summer, we are turning up the heat on our events at the Chamber as well! We are excited about the new partnerships and members who have joined us already this year.  Hopefully you have had a chance to swing by one of our ribbon cuttings or have been able to welcome one of our new members at another time. And I’d be remiss to not give a shout out to our existing members who help make our Chamber events and activities so enriching! This year the Board of Directors has been very focused on ways to bring you the best experiences possible. If you have not been to a monthly meeting, then you are missing some great speakers and opportunities to network with exceptional people who work and live in our community. Our monthly meeting is just one opportunity for you to highlight your business by being a sponsor also. Please feel free to reach out to our chamber staff about how you can be a sponsor and showcase your business at an event.  This is one of the many benefits of being a member–access to other members! So whether you are seeking air conditioned spaces or enjoying the rising temperature outside, I encourage you to consider joining us in as many events and activities as possible over the summer months. Be sure to check out our website for upcoming events as well as reach out to fellow members on their social media and websites to see what Davie County has to offer! I hope to see you soon…I’ll be the one in the shade near the fan/air conditioning!

Sincerely,

Allison Carr, Davidson-Davie Community College
