June Letter from the Chairman

With summer fast approaching, many people are active and living life. It is good to see our splash pad open at the community park, baseball games being played weekly around the county, Riverpark packed weekend after weekend, and many many other outdoor events. Davie County has lots to offer in warm weather. Don’t forget to visit our local vineyards, the weekly farmer’s markets in every area of the county, and our walking trails and parks. Live music plays at various venues like Kinderton, The Station, Food Freaks, Four Oaks, and O’Callahan’s regularly.

We also have a concert series planned at the Recreation and Park this summer. Keep the schedule pulled up and find your type of fun each week. Lastly, we are fortunate to have lots of great restaurants offering indoor and outdoor dining.

Our economy is still moving regardless of the price of goods and gas. Invest and spend locally while supporting our neighbors and friends. We all need each other. There are so many good things happening. They are overshadowed by bad news and complaints too often. I encourage you to “find the good”, and then share it. Let us keep our Davie County moving forward. On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, I encourage you to enjoy summer!!!

“There is no duty so much underrated as the duty of being happy.” Robert Louis Stevenson

Keep winning!
