September Letter from the Chair

Writing this message each month gives me the opportunity to reflect on the many ways the Davie Chamber of Commerce supports our local business community. Hosting networking events is one way the Chamber provides an opportunity for business members to connect with one another, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships. It’s so uplifting to see these connections being made and witness businesses working to help each other.

The annual Pro-Scramble Golf Tournament is one of the most anticipated Chamber events each year. Always a sell-out, the tournament is a relaxing day of friendly competition and networking. Player spots are already sold out for this year’s tournament on September 11, BUT the Chamber is still accepting sponsors for the event. There are many levels of sponsorship, and this is a great way to get your brand in front of the Chamber business community!

The 2023-2024 Business Guide is out! Have you picked up yours? It is a great way to find that business or contractor when you have a specific need AND it’s a great Visitor and Community Guide as well. Read about the Arts Council, area Farmers’ Markets, places to stay, our area wineries, and even a bit about the history of Davie County and it’s wonderful communities. There’s so much information in this excellent resource!

These events and resources are just a snapshot of how we unite to serve the businesses of Davie County. I invite you to reach out to me, Caroline, Alyson, or Marie. We are delighted to learn more about your business and craft ways we can cater to your success!

Melinda Szeliga,

Board Chairwoman, Davie Chamber of Commerce
